Science in the City Annual Gala 2016

Magellan Corporation was a proud sponsor of The Chicago Council on Science & Technology's 6th Annual Gala.

On May 5th, 2016 C²ST held its 6th Annual Science in the City Gala at UI Labs on Goose Island in Chicago.  Many leaders and supporters of Chicago's business, philanthropic and scientific communities were in attendance for this event.   The funds raised will help fund C²ST's next year of exciting programs, including topics such as “Your Microbiome and You”, “The Minds Inside Your Mind”, The Secret Lives of Chimpanzees, and Zika Virus.

The Gala was hosted by Cristal Thomas, Vice President for Community Health and Engagement at University of Chicago Medicine.

The 2016 “Advancing the Public Understanding of Science & Technology" Award was presented to Dr. Lucianne Walkowicz, Astronomer at the Adler Planetarium, for sharing the passion and mission of C²ST.
