My name is Alexandra Freeman, and I am proud to join the Magellan Corporation family as a sponsored athlete.

I was born in San Diego and raised in Ventura, California, where my love for athletics first began. Growing up in Southern California, I never imagined that a passion for throwing would one day take me across the country, around the world, and onto some of the sport's biggest stages.

My athletic journey led me to compete at the University of Oklahoma, where I developed as a collegiate discus thrower while learning the value of discipline, resilience, and hard work. Later, I relocated to the Midwest to finish my collegiate eligibility at Southern Illinois University, where I also pursued a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Along the way, track and field gave me something even more meaningful than athletic success—it introduced me to my husband. We met at a track meet while competing in our respective events, and our shared passion for throwing events became the foundation of a partnership built on supporting each other's goals and ambitions.

Today, I balance life as a professional athlete with a full-time career as a vocational and mental health counselor. While training and competing at the highest levels requires significant commitment, I have always believed that helping others pursue their goals and overcome challenges is just as rewarding as pursuing my own.

Representing American Samoa has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Through this opportunity, I have become an Oceania Athletics Championships champion and, during the 2026 season, set the American Samoa national record in the women's discus throw with a mark of 60.57 meters.

Another career highlight came in 2024 when I competed in the United States Olympic Team Trials. Advancing to the finals and competing among the best throwers in the country was a milestone that reinforced my belief that persistence and consistency can open doors that once seemed impossible.

As I continue pursuing my athletic goals, including future international championships and Olympic aspirations, I am grateful to have the support of Magellan Corporation. Success in sport is never achieved alone, and partnerships like this make it possible for athletes to continue striving for excellence.
