Magellan Celebrates the Chicago Bulls’ 2025 Ring of Honor

Celebrating Chicago legends with a weekend of art, energy and basketball magic

November 22, 2025

Magellan’s long friendship with the Chicago Bulls hit a vibrant new stride this November as we proudly stepped in as title sponsor of the team’s second-ever Ring of Honor celebration. Chicago loves a good tribute, and this one had all the ingredients: legendary names, a glittering setting, and a weekend full of big smiles, big moments, and a few heart-pounding surprises.

The festivities began on Thursday, November 20, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. About 40 Magellan employees, clients and friends arrived for an evening that blended art, basketball history and a decidedly festive buzz. Our tables were in lively company, joined by Bulls insider K.C. Johnson, General Manager Marc Eversley, Assistant General Manager J.J. Polk, and three-time NBA champion and broadcaster Bill Wennington—each bringing their own mix of insight, humor and Chicago basketball lore. The spotlight shone on the new Ring of Honor inductees—Johnny Bach, Bill Cartwright, Neil Funk, Horace Grant, John Paxson and Norm Van Lier—whose careers helped shape entire eras of Bulls basketball.

Two nights later, the celebration shifted to the United Center for the Ring of Honor Game, also presented by Magellan.

And the Bulls delivered. The matchup against the Washington Wizards turned into a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat contest, complete with late-game swings and one of those dramatic finishes that make sports feel magical. The Bulls sealed a 121–120 victory in the final seconds, sending the crowd into a roar that felt like the perfect soundtrack for the evening.

At halftime, the Class of 2025 honorees were celebrated in a polished, heartfelt ceremony filled with tributes.

And as the confetti settled and fans filed out into the November night, one thing was clear: the Ring of Honor paid tribute to the Bulls’ greatest contributors—while giving all of us a few terrific new memories.
