OILERS NIGHT, DONE RIGHT

Hockey, hospitality, and great company

March 31, 2026

Magellan recently brought together clients and friends for a night that checked all the boxes—great hockey, great company, and just the right amount of Oilers energy.

The group gathered in the Sky Lounge Loft as the Edmonton Oilers took on the Seattle Kraken, a matchup that has increasingly tilted in Edmonton’s favor in recent years. The Oilers delivered, shutting out Seattle 3–0 and giving the room plenty to cheer about from start to finish.

About 75 guests—customers and partners from across the business—settled in for the evening, enjoying a buffet, open bar, and a custom Oilers lunch box that quickly became a popular takeaway. The setting made it easy to do what the event was really about: catching up, making introductions, and strengthening relationships in a relaxed environment.

The night was elevated even further by two special guests who brought a unique mix of perspective and star power.

Kia Nurse, a WNBA All-Star and two-time NCAA champion, spent time with attendees sharing insights from her career on the court and in broadcasting. A member of Canada’s Olympic basketball team and a current Chicago Sky player, she also added a personal connection to the evening as the sister of Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse.

Joining her was Kevin Lowe, a true Oilers legend. A Hall of Famer and six-time Stanley Cup champion, Lowe was part of Edmonton’s iconic 1980s dynasty and remains one of the most recognizable figures in franchise history.

Together, they gave guests the rare opportunity to connect with athletes who have experienced the game at the highest levels—across generations and across sports.

No agenda, no formal program—just a strong game, a great venue, and an easy way to bring people together.
